Hoppaloo is an app of small offline games for children aged 2 to 6, made by DSONIX Technology ("DSONIX", "we", "us"). This policy covers the Hoppaloo app on Android (Google Play) and on iPhone and iPad (the App Store).
In short: Hoppaloo is made for small children, so it is built to know nothing about them. It collects no personal data, has no account or sign-in, shows no advertising and does no tracking.
1. What We Collect
Nothing. The app does not ask for a name, an age, a birthday, an email address, a photo, a voice recording, a location or contacts. It does not use the camera or the microphone. It contains no advertising software and no analytics software, and we run no server that could receive anything from it.
2. What Stays on the Device
The app remembers, in one small file on the device:
- which levels, pictures and lessons have been finished and how many stars were earned;
- the sound, music and voice settings;
- whether Full Unlock has been bought.
This file is never sent to us or to anyone else. "Start again" in the app's parent area clears the progress, and removing the app removes everything.
3. The Internet
Playing needs no internet connection. The app itself sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
One part of the app can use the internet: the store's own purchase component, which the app uses to sell Full Unlock.
- On Android this is Google's Play Billing Library. It talks to Google Play to show the price, to make the purchase and to check that the purchase is still valid. It may send Google technical information about how that went, possibly with basic details of the device such as its model, its Android version, its country and its kind of network. What it sends goes to Google, not to us, and is covered by Google's privacy policy.
- On iPhone and iPad this is Apple's own in-app purchase system, which is part of the device's software. It talks to the App Store to show the price, to make the purchase and to check that the purchase is still valid. What it sends goes to Apple, not to us, and is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
4. Buying Full Unlock
The first part of every game is free. Full Unlock is one optional, one-time purchase that opens the rest. It is made through Google Play or the App Store and is paid with the grown-up's own store account. The store handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We do not receive a name, an email address or any payment details. The app only learns from the store whether Full Unlock belongs to the account, so that it can open the games and restore the purchase on another device.
5. Keeping Children Away From Purchases and Links
A child playing never sees a price or a buy button. The store page can be reached only after a grown-up check: three numbers written as words, to be tapped in order. Nothing in the app leads out of the app during play, and any link that would open a web page stands behind the same check.
6. Advertising and Tracking
There is none. The app shows no advertisements, uses no advertising identifier, and shares nothing with advertisers, analytics companies or data brokers.
7. Children's Privacy
Hoppaloo is directed at children. Because it collects no personal data from anyone, there is no children's data for us to use, share, sell, keep or delete, and nothing for which a parent's consent would be needed. This is how the app meets children's privacy laws, among them India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the United States' Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the European Union's and United Kingdom's GDPR, and the family policies of Google Play and the App Store.
8. Your Choices
- Clear the progress: "Start again" in the parent area.
- Remove everything: uninstall the app.
- Refunds: a purchase is refunded by the store it was made in, under that store's rules.
9. Changes to This Policy
If a later version of the app changes any of this, this page and the privacy page inside the app will say so first, with a new "Last updated" date.
